Restoration over transformation

Carefully considered reconstructive surgery designed to restore comfort, confidence and natural balance.

I believe plastic surgery is a partnership between the patient and the surgeon, where advanced surgical skill is used thoughtfully and responsibly to restore confidence, function and self-belief. It’s about enhancing what is already there and helping you feel more like yourself.

I balance reconstructive and aesthetic principles to cross boundaries between function, appearance and wellbeing. Prioritising natural results and long-term outcomes achieved through a process that feels safe and right for you is how I define surgical success.

Surgical management of lymphoedema

I am one of the UK’s most experienced surgeons in the surgical management of lymphoedema. My approach is honest from the outset: there is no cure, but there is meaningful intervention. I use a range of techniques that can help reduce the burden of your condition significantly – easing swelling, improving quality of life and slowing its progression – as part of a long-term management plan that is right for you.

Aesthetic procedures

I use technical excellence to give you the confidence to live fully as yourself. My aesthetic practice is rooted in reconstructive principles: proportion, natural results and long-term solutions.

I can help restore proportion and confidence following pregnancy, weight loss or the changes that come with time. I have the skills available to offer a range of solutions to suit your needs and will always help you make the right choices based on your lifestyle and goals, not simply recommend the most common solution.

Aftercare

A holistic, ongoing process

My support doesn’t end with your surgery. I believe patients are best served when they feel empowered to ask questions, make informed choices and take an active role in their own care – at every stage of the process. I am open about risks and recovery, and the guidance I offer on nutrition, wound care and wellbeing throughout your recovery is personalised to you. I believe that healing begins with trust; sometimes a thoughtful conversation can be just as important as surgery in helping you feel better within yourself.

FAQ

Your questions, answered

Considering surgery often brings many questions. This section provides clear answers to some of the most common topics patients ask about consultations, procedures and recovery, helping you feel informed and confident before taking the next step.

1. How do I know if surgery is right for me?

In your consultation, I'll walk you through all of your options and answer all questions you have. I want you to have as much information as possible so that you can make a decision that's right for you. If I don't think surgery is the right course for you, I will be clear about that.

2. What happens during the first consultation?

We’ll discuss your concerns, lifestyle and goals, assess your anatomy, and decide together whether surgery is right for you and what outcome would best support your comfort and wellbeing. Your consultation is your opportunity to ask as many questions as you need. Being fully informed is an essential part of making a decision you feel confident in.

3. How long does recovery usually take?

Recovery varies between procedures but I get all my patients up and moving the day after surgery. Most patients return to light activity like gentle walking within 1 to 4 weeks and exercise at 4 to 8 weeks depending on the surgery they've had. Scars take longer to heal and won't fully evolve until 12–24 months later. For more details on recovery read my patient guides.

4. Will my results look natural?

Yes. Whatever the procedure, I prioritise proportion, natural-looking results and long-term outcomes.

5. How long until I can shower after the procedure?

You can shower from the day after surgery. I know this surprises some people, who expect to be told to avoid water for weeks. I'll give you specific guidance on how to manage your wounds and dressings. (Swimming and bathing are however off limits until your wounds are fully healed.)

6. What are the next steps if I would like to proceed?

When you’re ready to start the conversation, I would be glad to meet with you. Get in touch to book a consultation.
